Boysenberry and Strawberry Wines

2 fermenters of Boysenberry and 1 of Strawberry.

My season for winemaking has started.  We currently have a Boysenberry Blend (mostly boysenberry, with some raspberry and some marionberries) and a Strawberry (made with Hood strawberries).  I find the juice extracts better from frozen berries.  I picked the boysenberries for several days last summer at Sandy farms.  I love the smell of them.  As for the strawberries, my neighbor Al told me that Hoods make the best strawberry wine.  Shelly up at Burns Farm on 302nd off Kerslake helped me out with these strawberries.  She currently has u-pick available.

Leaning Star Winery offers small batches of handcrafted wines.  Our winery is located on the outskirts of Gresham, Oregon, a short jaunt to the freeways in all directions. Learn more about Leaning Star Winery or send us an email and contact us.
