European Cider Apple Trees

Only raining lightly this morning.  Checked out the new apple trees, put in last spring.  They are all growing strong.  These are European Cider Apples, Bittersweets that when producing, will add some structure and tannins to our cider.  I have them tied for support while they're young, so the wind won't break them.  I'll cut the ties soon, so they can support themselves and grow strong on their own.  Maybe I should be looking to see if I can find apples or juice to buy, but there just something about "growing my own".
